Autodesk Migration Vertical Products
We would like to inform you about changes to your Autodesk subscriptions. A few years ago, Autodesk withdrew your subscription license from its portfolio as a “standalone” new subscription license. Yours, and other products listed below (= vertical products), are, since then, part of ”AutoCAD including specialized toolset” (short: ACAD Toolset). The name “AutoCAD including specialized toolset” is the umbrella term for a box, which also contains your product included. As the products contained in this box are not available as standalone new subscriptions, Autodesk will migrate all individual components of AutoCAD Toolset into a complete AutoCAD Toolset.
This results in the following advantages for you:
- No price change
- Access to all products included in the AutoCAD Toolset e.g., AutoCAD Mechanical to create STEP files or AutoCAD Architecture BIM IFC interface
This migration will start in July 2021 and will be carried out worldwide. All administrators or contract managers in the Autodesk account will receive an email from Autodesk describing this migration, starting in July.
Below we have listed some questions for you to prepare you for the migration.
What products included in AutoCAD Toolset?
Vertical products include:
- AutoCAD pure
- AutoCAD Architecture
- AutoCAD Mechanical
- AutoCAD Electrical
- AutoCAD MAP
- AutoCAD MEP
- AutoCAD Plant 3D
What to consider when migrating multi-user licenses?
If you have a multi-user subscription, you have 30 days to reassign web services to which you are entitled under your multi-user subscription. If users have not been reassigned after this 30-day period, they will lose access to web services.
Does the migration affect my activated previous versions?
If you are working with older AutoCAD versions, you can continue to use them as usual after the migration.
What happens if I am already using an AutoCAD vertical product (now called a “specialized toolset”) and what do I need to do to use the additional toolset?
You can access the additional toolset in your Autodesk Account. To use the additional toolset, you must first enable the AutoCAD Toolset permission.
Can this migration omitted?
How can the migrated product access?
Through the Autodesk Desktop App or Autodesk Account.
Will the system requirements change?
Can I distribute the products in AutoCAD Toolset to different employees?
No. AutoCAD Toolset should be viewed as one license that may only be used by the user assigned to it.
