“BAU 2015” in Munich
The BAU in Munich, one of the world’s leading trade fairs, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015 and at the same time attracted an absolute record number of visitors. Over six days more than 250,000 visitors from Germany, and above all from abroad, streamed into the exhibition halls.
The huge number of visitors and the extraordinarily high proportion of international guests – at around 28% – was reflected in the level of activity on CAD-PLAN’s partner stand. Under the umbrella of the Software Competence Center, CAD-PLAN, together with its stand partner Orgadata and other sub-exhibitors (camprox, KKP, T.A.-Project and unilink) presented their software solutions for the metal construction sector.
This year too, the software solutions ATHENA, flixo and SJ MEPLA offered by CAD-PLAN also generated enormous interest. This meant that the presentation stations on the exhibition stand were occupied almost continuously by trade visitors. Already during the exhibition itself numerous orders were taken. Responding to the trend that the BAU is becoming increasingly more international in its visitor structure, next year CAD-PLAN will expand its stand personnel. The individual attention given to international visitors will be provided by more staff from branches and sales partners.
Also the traditionally held exhibition party with a glass of wine, delicious finger food and live music from a well-known band offered a relaxed setting for informal branch-related discussions. The estimated 700 visitors again proved to be a veritable challenge for the event management who however mastered the occasion brilliantly.
Taking stock, CAD-PLAN GmbH can look back on a very successful, perhaps even the most successful exhibition week ever. Consequently, our participation in the BAU in two years time can be taken as a done deal.
